Entity Possession in Everyday Life
When most people hear the words entity possession, they imagine scenes from horror films or dramatic exorcisms. In truth, what I call entity influence or energetic attachment happens quietly. Often to normal, kind, and spiritually open people.
An entity is not a monster or an evil force. It’s usually a small fragment of consciousness. A piece of someone who has died, or even a living person who is unraveling mentally or emotionally, such as during dementia or Alzheimer’s. When that consciousness sheds parts of itself, fragments can drift into resonance with others.
These fragments aren’t malicious; they’re simply habit energies. The leftover vibration of fear, shame, anger, judgment, sadness or grief. Yet because they carry emotion and memory, they can subtly attach to someone’s energy field, influencing thought and mood.
Understanding What an Entity Is
You could think of an entity as a habit body. The residue of personality traits that once belonged to someone else. When such a fragment encounters a person with a similar vibration, it can merge into their energy field. This is how an entity possession occurs.
For instance, if someone carries deep shame, and a wandering fragment also carries shame, there’s a point of resonance and attachment can happen naturally. From there, it begins to draw vitality and can even lodge around organs or energy centers, affecting both physical and emotional health.
This influence is rarely extreme. It often feels like subtle mood shifts, fatigue, irritability, or looping thoughts that don’t quite feel like “you.”
The good news is that through awareness, mindfulness, and energy healing work, these attachments can be released. When they leave, people often describe feeling clearer, lighter, and more present in their own body.
We are not victims in this process. In fact, these attachments can reveal the very places within us that need healing. They mirror what’s unhealed giving us the opportunity to meet those shadows and bring them into light.
How Entity Attachments Occur
Entity possession rarely happens in dramatic ways. Most often, it arises during moments of energetic vulnerability. Times when your boundaries are thin and your light feels dimmed.
Moments of Energetic Fragility
These moments can follow:
-
Emotional shock or grief
-
Surgery or hospitalization
-
Childbirth or miscarriage
-
Trauma, depression, or burnout
When the energy body is weakened, it becomes more porous. A fragment of consciousness> What I call an entity, can slip in and nest within your field. Because it resonates with your own unhealed emotion, it can blend so seamlessly that you believe its thoughts and feelings are yours.
Signs You May Have Picked Up an Entity
People often notice subtle changes first. I must say thye never think “possession”, but personality shifts or one goes through emotional withdrawal.
Subtle Emotional Shifts
Common signs include:
-
Sudden dislike for people or places you once enjoyed
-
Wanting isolation or avoiding connection
-
Feeling drained, foggy, or unmotivated
-
Harsh inner criticism that feels “foreign”
Physical and Sensory Clues
-
Heightened cravings for sugar, alcohol, or heavy foods
-
Fatigue or unexplained health issues
-
Restlessness, agitation, or brain fog
In children, this influence can appear as mood swings or sudden fears. Sometimes, a child may unconsciously “take on” a lost or confused soul out of compassion. This is why it’s so important to create a peaceful, prayerful home atmosphere where light and safety are strong.
A Subtle Example of Entity Influence
To understand how quietly an entity possession can affect a person, I’d like to share a story.
I once had breakfast with an older couple. Dear family friends who had always inspired me with their warmth and deep family values. Their home had been a gathering place of laughter, music, and devotion. Over the years, they became role models for my husband and me, showing us what lasting love and loyalty look like in action.
During breakfast, they spoke of a sorrow weighing on their hearts. Their son’s marriage was ending, and they were deeply hurt by the change in their daughter-in-law, whom I also knew and had always found kind and balanced.
When the couple’s son had first married her, everything seemed beautifully aligned. He was warm, social, and magnetic. The kind of person who filled a room with ease. She was quieter, grounding his charisma with steadiness. Together they seemed harmonious.
But a few years later, after several miscarriages and emotional challenges, something began to shift. The woman they once knew started withdrawing. Not just from family, but from friends and community. Their once vibrant home became closed off. She no longer wanted visitors, stopped hosting gatherings, and resisted connection.
At first, everyone assumed it was stress or grief. But as time went on, her personality continued to contract. She became critical, suspicious, and only wanted her very few friends around her.
When Personality Changes Suddenly
This kind of change happens more often than people realize.
It’s not always depression or fatigue. Sometimes it’s the influence of an energetic attachment.
Entity possession can occur after trauma, emotional collapse, or any event that makes a person energetically fragile. The attachment resonates with the pain already present and slowly amplifies it, creating a sense of self that feels heavier and more separate from others.
You might hear someone say:
“I used to love being around people, but now I don’t.”
“Something changed after that hospital stay.”
“I’ve never been the same since that loss.”
These are gentle indicators that something deeper may have entered the field — not as punishment, but as an invitation to heal.
Entity Attachments in Ordinary Life
Entity attachment happens to ordinary people: parents, professionals, teachers, healers, and even children. Often without any outward sign. It can quietly redirect the course of a life through subtle changes in mood, thought, or vitality.
Many cultures once understood this interplay between spirit and psyche. Ancient texts and sacred writings spoke of spirit attachments and their influence on health, emotion, and destiny.
Sadly, much of that wisdom has been obscured or sensationalized by modern portrayals of possession and fear.
In truth, these energies are not demons; they are simply fragments of consciousness that have lost their way. When we meet them with awareness rather than fear, they can be released through energetic healing and compassionate depossession, restoring balance to both soul and body.
Entity Work as Deep Shadow Work
Working with entity attachments is, in essence, deep shadow work.
It’s not about fighting darkness. It’s about illuminating what has been hidden.
When a fragment attaches, it amplifies the very qualities within us that need healing. It’s like a magnifying glass over the shadow bringing unresolved emotion to the surface so it can be transformed.
In this way, the process is not punishment but participation in nature’s alchemy: what was once dense becomes luminous when met with awareness and healing. Here is where I regress you to inner wounds that need healing. Most often wounds from childhood and past lives that never had a chance to heal and influence this life.
The Inner Resonance
For this reason, I never simply remove an entity the moment I find it. First, we explore the inner resonance, the wound, belief, or unprocessed pain that created the doorway for attachment.
When that root is healed, the energy naturally releases, and the person’s own light fills the space that was once occupied by the wound.
Clearing Ceremony and Compassionate Depossession
Then I perform a Clearing Ceremony, known in some traditions as a Compassionate Depossession. In this work, the approach is never forceful. It is gentle, luminous, and filled with light. It takes time in a series of sessions for the unconscious to adjust and heal.
If an entity is removed too quickly, without the accompanying inner work, the same unhealed pattern may attract another. True freedom comes not from banishment but from integration and healing.
Never Converse With an Entity
If you ever sense the presence of an entity, do not engage it directly. These fragments can mimic wisdom, appealing to curiosity or ego. They may tell grand stories to ensure their survival.
Once, a client told me she decided to keep an entity because it claimed to be an ancient dragon here to learn from her. It spoke to her pride and fascination. What I can tell you is it was not a dragon. It was a fragment cloaked in it’s very survival, appealing to her ego.
The only way to clear such energies so they don’t return is through light, awareness, and disciplined inner work. Not conversation or negotiation. Their purpose, if we can call it that, is to mirror where our own ego is still entangled. When that lesson is integrated, the fragment releases in a beautiful ceremony which is my honor to conduct.
In Closing: Amplifying Your Light
There is no need for fear in this work. Entity attachments are simply aspects of consciousness that have lost their way.
